Ariana Grande won't stand for sexist body shaming

 
It's no surprise that celebs in the public eye often come under some serious scrutiny, but when Ariana Grande was faced with an instance of body-shaming over the weekend, she immediately shut it down.

When a Twitter used compared Ari's body to Modern Family star Ariel Winter's fuller figure, Ari wasn't about to just sit there an take it. Instead, she spoke up on Instagram about why that sort of language is totally inappropriate, writing in her post, "here we go again.... I'm sure I'm not the only one feeling this way today!! in case you need a reminder, you're beautiful. it's a beautiful day to be yourself!!" Check out what she had to say.

 

We love that Ari stood up for herself and her fellow girls—and so does Ariel, who took to Twitter to thank Ari for her support.

 

Ari and Ariel are right: all bodies are beautiful, and, more importantly, all people are valuable. Let's focus on that going forward.
