Although Louis, who is normally active in the Twitter-sphere (and is no stranger to a little Twitter drama here and there), has remained mum on the social media front, his mentor Simon Cowell finally broke the silence in an interview with The Sun. 

According to the UK newspaper, Simon revealed that he was able to give the British heartthrob some serious advice as Louis prepares to embark on a life-changing journey that's taking him in a slightly different direction than fans may have hoped. 

"I said to him, ‘You man up. You’re fortunate because you’re in a position to be able to look after the baby and not worry too much about that,'" Simon shared.

Though we're still anxiously re-loading our Twitter feed every few seconds to see if Louis will officially confirm the rumors himself, as of now, all signs are pointing to true. And if Louis is going to be a dad, what does that mean for the future of 1D?

Simon's told The Sun before that the boys are planning to take a little break after the finish their fifth album, but the word is still out on whether or not there will be a sixth. "I hope they’ll have a little bit of time apart and want to get back together again," he said. "It’s a fun job, but it’s absolutely their decision."
