Exclusive: We got the dish on G Hannelius's new nail art business

In addition to starring in the hugely popular (and KCA nominated) Disney Channel show Dog with a Blog, G Hannelius has entered into one special new venture: the world of nail art. G's new business is a cool mobile app launching today that you can get through iTunes called Make Me Nails – and it's the only nail art app that lets users create individual wraps for each nail.

Through the app, you can upload photos for each individual nail and the company they partner with, Minx, will print them and send them off to you in addition to a cool nail file and DIY instructions. In this vid, G shows off her new nail art, but we also chatted with the star to find out exactly what she loves about her new app.

GL: Where'd you get the idea for Make Me Nails?

G: I've always loved doing nail art, and my fans really loved my nail art YouTube tutorials, but I wanted to find a way to make nail art more accessible for people. I met Lauren Jones, who is the owner of a digital marketing company, and she was really familiar with all things tech. From there, we thought, "What could be more accessible than a mobile app?"

GL: What makes Make Me Nails different from other nail art apps?

G: Make Me Nails allows users to put a different image on all 10 fingers, which allows for total customization and total creativity! You can also upload images from Facebook or Instagram which is amazing.

GL: What's the best Make Me Nails nail art you've made so far?

G: For the World Dog Awards, I made Make Me Nails with my dogs and Stan from Dog with a Blog on them! They were so cute and I loved looking down and seeing my favorite faces on my nails! Here's a picture:

GL: Are there any other industries you want to break into?

G: I love the beauty business right now. I'm a huge fan of all things beauty and fashion so that is where I'm comfortable. But I love mixing beauty and tech and making it modern and fresh.

What do you think of G's new app Make Me Nails? Are you into nail art? Let us know what your perf mani would be in the comments below.
