There've been all sorts of rumors flying around lately about Zayn Malik from One Direction and it seems like it might be taking a toll on him and his health. After constantly battling theories about the status of his relationship with Perrie Edwards from Little Mix, Zayn's been forced to take some time for himself and step down from a few of the band's tour performances.

Here's the full story: when Perrie was spotted out and about a few times without her engagement ring on, people started wondering whether there was something wrong in paradise. Though the two have been engaged since August of 2013, there's no news about any plans for a wedding just yet, which has some fans wondering what the deal is. After more reports that Zayn was spotted out with a mystery girl – and some jumped to the conclusion that he was cheating on Perrie – things looked even worse.

It got to the point where Zayn took to Twitter to address the rumors yesterday, writing, "I'm 22 years old... I love a girl named Perrie Edwards. And there's a lot of jealous [people] in this world I'm sorry for what it looks like x." Earlier today, though, the band made another announcement through a PR person: "1D statement: Zayn has been signed off with stress and is flying back to the UK to recuperate. The band wish him well and will continue with their performances in Manila and Jakarta."

We don't know whether it was the stress of dealing with rumors, the tour or something else entirely, but either way it has us worried. Though we're sure Directioners are bummed that they'll only get 4/5 of the band at the show, we know the 1D boys will still do the best they can and we're glad that Zayn is putting his health first.
