We saw Olly Murs on tour and here's what happened
Since coming in second place on the X Factor
in the UK in 2009, Olly Murs has been a major hit across the pond. And after
touring with One Direction in the US last spring, Olly’s finally breaking
America on his own. Hello, we couldn’t be more excited!
We snagged tickets to the first
stop on Olly’s 2013 Right Place Right Time US Spring Tour, where he’s promoting
his latest album Right Place, Right Time. Read on
for an exclusive up-close-and-personal concert experience you won’t get unless
you see him on tour this spring…
For this general admission gig,
the doors didn’t open until 7 p.m. However, that didn’t stop some of Olly’s
biggest US fans from staking out the venue super early. The girls who were at
the front of the line arrived at 6 a.m.! And by the time the doors did open, everyone was beyond pumped to see the British
cutie belt out his latest hits.
Before Olly hit the stage, the
upbeat and spunky brothers of Before You Exit got the audience jumping and dancing.
They performed several songs off of their I Like That
EP, and surprised the crowd with a rendition of “MMMBop,” the classic hit from
’90s boy band Hanson.
After a brief stage set-up that
seemed like forever, Olly Murs finally came out and greeted the packed venue.
“‘Ello,” he started in his charming British accent, and, oof, the crowd’s
screams were loud enough to rupture an eardrum! Olly got right into his set,
playing songs like “Army of Two” and “Troublemaker” from his latest album.

Olly kept the crowd on their feet
with his super-catchy tunes and awesome dance moves. His soulful voice sounded
even better live than on the radio—and that’s saying something! The funniest
part of the night? When Olly decided to make a Vine video (an app where you can
make short vids with several takes in a snap) of the crowd!
Check out the one Olly made the
night of the concert below…
Basically, the Olly Murs show was
one crazy, fun-filled concert not to be missed. Do you have tix to see Mr. Murs
on tour? Are you a fan of his tunes? Blog about it, babes.
