Job Interview Scenario #1: The Casual Office
This isn’t the White House, but it’s not exactly a gas station either. These in between places can be a bit tricky, so it’s best to keep it classic. Wear dark pants and a simple shirt, collared or just conservative. Flats are always a safe bet, and pop on cute but polished accessories, like this headband and ring, to show that you’re serious, but fashionable. Add a watch, which shows that you’re punctual and focused, and you should be ready!

Job Interview Scenario #2: The Chic Office
Again, we’re not talking pantsuits, but you can’t show up in jeans and a tee. You want a pretty outfit, but nothing that will make you stick out too much. If you do wear a skirt, don’t try anything too tight or too short. Instead, wear something knee-length and flowy. Pair with a simple sweater or blouse, and a belt to polish off the look. Try flats or low heels in a demure color, and metallic accessories to accent, but not detract, from your cute look. Stripes are safe, but avoid busy, bold prints. This office is not the place to try out your new neon or tie dye trends—go sophisticated and professional, but don’t try to look like your mom.Striped Cotton Sweater, $30, mango.com

Job Interview Scenario #3: The Professional Office
This is the big leagues! We’re talking about an outfit that’s professional, age-appropriate, conservative, but still fashion-forward. Whew. This cream dress has an appropriate neckline and hemline, but is still really cute. Add a nice blazer to show that you’re in business, and don’t forget your watch and simple, feminine accessories. To keep it youthful, add a pop of color with these low-wedge shoes—they’re fun, but put together, and really complete the look.AX Paris Cream Balloon Skirt Dress, $38, newlook.com
