You might need to check your dry shampoo ASAP

Dry shampoo is the holy grail hair product for any on-the-go gal. You can put it in your bag and simply whip it out at school or work to make your hair look instantly refreshed. But could something as trivial as dry shampoo be bad for you?

Benzene, a cancer-causing chemical, has been detected in a handful of dry shampoos. Valisure, an independent laboratory, discovered that 70% of dry shampoo samples tested contained "quantifiable" amounts of benzene. Yikes!

Certain dry shampoo brands such as Dove, Nexxus, Suave, TIGI and Tresemmé have already been voluntarily recalled due to the levels of benzene. But could the chemical be lurking in your other hair care bottles, too?

So, what do I do now?

Don't worry if you can't live without your dry shampoo—there are so many more other options that are safe to use. Switch to these alternatives and you'll feel better knowing you won't have to worry about any bad chemicals...
