TikTok's sunburnt blush trend is our fave summer beauty look—here's how to get it

BeautyTok is taking the world by storm once again, but this time it's all about replicating the sunkissed look—minus the sun. Meet the sunburnt blush trend, which allows you to achieve the fresh-out-the-sun flush without actually having to deal with a real sunburn (win!). We're here to guide you through perfecting the sunburnt blush look on your own.

Choose the right blush shade

@rachellldaguanno My sunkissed go to look using one product only #rarebeautyblush #sunkissedmakeup #sunburnt #rosycheeks #liquidblush #multipurpose #liquideyeshadow #summerbronze #summermakeup #glowingmakeup #easymakeup #simpletutorial #goeseverywhere ♬ original sound - EX7STENCE™

We're going for a natural flush, so aim for warm, corally tones like pink, red and orange. We recommend cream or liquid blush formulas, which tend to appear softer on the skin, blend easier and look more dewy.

Be strategic with your blush placement

@addisonraee

Placement is the key to perfecting the faux sunburnt look. Think of where the sun would hit your face if you were to spend one too many hours outside. Although the classic way to apply blush is only on the apples of your cheeks, go for a higher point, then bring it under the eyes and extend it over the bridge of your nose. To make it simple, apply in a "w shape" over your face.

Ofc, sunburnt blush can only be done right with *a lot* of blush, so if you feel like you're going a tad overboard, that's the whole point! Generously layer the product and don't be shy...just as long as you're not completely red in the face. Since you can always build the product, start with a small amount of blush, and then add more depending on your liking. Don't forget to blend!

Complete the summer glow

@lilianamadrigal_

To complete the effortless vibe, a minimal amount of makeup is ideal. Use some concealer and bronzer as your base, and highlighter on the high points of your face such as on your brow bone, cheeks, cupid's bow, nose and inner corners of your eyes. Lastly, always keep your lips moisturized with a balm or gloss.
