It might be getting colder outside, but that doesn't mean your makeup routine has to suffer. The change of seasons is the perfect time to experiment with new trends. We've scoured runways and Insta accounts alike to uncover the latest hot topics in the beauty world. Now you can take your own beauty looks from drab to fab this winter with these 5 must-try trends!

Statement eyeliner

Just because you have to cover the lower half of your face with a mask doesn't mean the upper half can't look glam! Draw attention to your eyes with a colorful swipe of eyeliner. For a bold and modern flair, try floating eyeliner, a look sported by Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande in the "Rain On Me" music video. Just line your crease in addition to your lashline.

Fluffy brows

Now is the perfect excuse to skip out on your eyebrow waxing sesh, because polished brows are a thing of the past. This winter, feathery brows are in style. There's no need to even brush out your brows! Simply fill in any sparse areas with a brow pencil, keeping your strokes light and airy. Blend the strokes with a spoolie and finish off with a clear brow gel.

Glossy pastel lids

Dewy makeup has been all the rage lately, and glossy eyes are no exception. This winter, rock a soft, pastel look by patting a layer of eye or cheek gloss onto your lids. If you're in a pinch, you can use a normal pressed eyeshadow and dab some Vaseline on top.

Glowy skin

Speaking of dewy, don't toss out your Glossier products just yet, because the glowy skin trend isn't going anywhere. Be sure to keep your skin hydrated this winter by using a daily moisturizer. Boost your natural complexion with a hyaluronic acid serum and accentuate your features with cream blush and highlighter.

Face gems

Face gems, otherwise known as "makeup jewelry," were all over the runways this season. While it may be a *little* impractical to deck your whole face out in mini crystals, you can stick a few small face gems on your temples or under your brows to bring a sparkly flair to your look.
