The *one* beauty product this Olympic athlete can't live without
Being an Olympic athlete doesn't exactly bring to mind the words 'girly girl'. But that's exactly the side of Michelle Carter that she loves to embrace in her free time. The shot put babe—who snagged the gold medal at the 2016 Olympics, nbd—explains, "People have these expectations of female athletes that we're supposed to look harder or rougher but at the end of the day, I'm still a girl. I still enjoy my makeup and putting on dresses and heels and getting all dressed up."
In fact, she loves it so much that she decided to become a professional makeup artist in 2008 (talk about a girl who does it all!) and the Shot Diva was born.
But just because Michelle is total #goals, doesn't mean that she doesn't also have insecurities. When it comes to loving your bod, she encourages girls to "make the best of it. Your body is what it is for a reason, and whatever that reason is, embrace it and make it work for you. Like for me, I am a larger girl with big thighs. I may not always like them but I've found things that work for me and make me feel good about my body."
Michelle's go-to look? "I love a neutral eye with a bold lip," she gushes. Lipstick is the one thing she claims she can't leave the house without—and her current fave is a sheer purple that's bright but not overpowering.

P.S.: Michelle also revealed that her top girl power song is Beyonce's "Run The World" (such a classic) because "it's true, we *do* run the world [laughs]. It's a reminder that we have power but we can use that power for something positive. Not just to get what we want but to encourage and empower others." Couldn't have said it better ourselves.
