Want high-fashion hair even when you’re sweating it out on the field or court? There’s no need to neglect your hair and all its glory during your sports practice or dance rehearsal.

All eyes have been on 15-year-old Catherine Bellis, the youngest girl to win a U.S Open match since 1996. Along with her rad racket talents, Catherine is also getting noticed for her Valentino-inspired ponytail. This great ‘do was created by Redken Creative Consultant Guido Palau at Valentino’s fall/winter 2014 fashion show.

Seeing fun hairstyles on the runway is great, but it’s even more exciting to see crazy styles worn IRL. Now you can get this stylish pony for your next game by checking out our inside scoop from Guido on how to recreate this look for yourself, and the Redken products needed to make it perfect on and off the court.

7. Place elastics every 2-3 inches down the ponytail.

8. Pull hair in between each elastic to puff out the strands.

9. Finish with Redken Control Addict 28 Super Strength Finishing Spray.
