The sleek high-braid
To get this look, pull your hair into a tight high pony and secure with a hair tie, making sure there are no bumps. Then, braid down to the bottom, secure the braid with another elastic and you’ll be ready to go! Now you get all of the benefits of a cute braid, without the weight.

The messy bun
Every girl out there has tried to achieve the perfect messy bun, but it’s way easier than you think! Just bring your hair up into a normal bun, then make sure you don’t pull your hair tie around too many times to keep it loose and casual. Tug out a few strands of hair from around your forehead and ears and let them blow around in the warm summer air. Gorgeous!

The side braid
If keeping your hair too high up gives you a headache, try out this casual side braid. Just take all your hair onto the opposite side of your part, and braid to whatever length you want. It’s the perfect quick ‘do for when you’re rushing out the door or already lounging by the pool.

The side fishtail
Although this style might take you a little longer, it’s definitely worth it to look this cute. Start the same as a regular side braid, by taking all your hair to the opposite side of your part. Then, fishtail your hair by taking two strands from each side of the pigtail and crossing them over the center, repeating with new strands until you get to the end of your hair. Once you’re finished, loosen up the fishtail and pull some pieces out to mimic Blake’s cool-girl look.

The classic high pony
Leighton knows how to strut her stuff with a casual hairdo, and now you can, too. Put your hair into a high ponytail, letting a few strands hang down to frame your face. Tease the top a little with a comb to achieve that small bump that gives this look its flare. Your shoulders will be sweat-free and ready to take on the heat.
