Use it to: Strengthen lashes

People swear by this beauty trick. Before going to bed at night, gently rub a tiny bit of petroleum jelly at the base of your lashes. This has been said to make them grow faster and stronger. Score!

Use it to: Heal chapped lips

Exfoliate your lips gently with a warm washcloth, and then apply a layer of petroleum jelly before bed. The moisturizing component should heal them over night.

Use it to: Relieve razor burn

Razor burn can be such a painful experience; petroleum jelly is gentle enough to soothe the area post-shave. Apply it directly after shaving to areas where you usually get razor burn.

Use it to: Combat dry patches

Dry, flakey patches that are dying for some moisture can be easily fixed by just popping on some petroleum jelly before bed. Spot-treat splotchy face patches, irritated skin on your body and scaly areas like elbows and hands.

Use it to: Remove makeup

Use Vaseline as a gentle makeup remover for dry or sensitive skin. Rub the product over lids and then use a damp cloth or cotton pad to wipe away remaining makeup.

Use it to: Sub in for your eye cream

If your under-eyes are dry or you just want to prevent wrinkling, try this inexpensive swap for eye cream. Just apply a tiny amount with your ring finger after cleansing your face and removing makeup before you hit the sheets. We bet you will totally notice a difference.
