Try deep conditioning 

In the shower with shampooed and rinsed hair, apply enough conditioner to completely cover and saturate your strands. Next up, put a plastic cap over your hair and wrap your head in a warm towel for up to 30 minutes. When coupled with heat and a plastic cap, deep conditioners strengthen and moisturize your strands by absorbing into each one individually. Adding protein and conditioning agents consistently gives your hair all of the good stuff. Deep conditioning once a week or every other week helps your hair maintain a great moisture balance, even when it’s burning up outside.

Use leave-in conditioner

After your normal routine of washing and conditioning your luscious locks, use a leave-in conditioner to seal in moisture and prepare your hair for styling. Divide your hair into four even sections and apply a small amount of conditioner from root to end. Comb with a wide-toothed comb, gently running the comb from roots to ends until each section is smooth.

Try rinsing with cool water

Water temperature is probably not the first thing you think about when it comes to hair care, because hot showers are super soothing. But try ditching the heat and go for cool water instead. Enduring it just for 30 secs while you rinse can help you lock in a whole lot more moisture by closing your hair cuticles and sealing in the moisturizers from your cleansing and conditioning products.

Seal your strands with oil

Speaking of locking in moisture, don’t forget to apply light oil to your strands. Always start with wet hair: water is the only true form of moisture that will fully penetrate your tresses and maintain elasticity. Right after you've cleansed and conditioned, start applying oil to the ends of your hair to lock it all in. Be careful not to go overboard—just a dab gets the job done.
