Get pedi perfection with our Emmy Rossum-inspired nail art

via Instagram

We saw this Instagram picture of Emmy Rossum’s perfectly gilded pedi and we loved it so much we had to include in our June/July issue! Blogger Grace Atwood of Stripes and Sequins gave us the how-to on these totally trendy tootsies, and we’re sharing it with you here. Rock it for all your summer parties.

    Step 2: Shimmer and shine

Cut 12 – 15 rectangles out of imitation gold leaf (you can find it in craft stores) making the rectangles about 1 inch by ½ an inch.

    Step 3: Paint to perfection

Paint toes with a nude lacquer. When the polish has dried a little but is still tacky, press a strip of the gold leaf onto each nail. Smooth it out with your fingers. Trim extra leaf off and let nails dry for a few minutes.
