2 costume-worthy Halloween manis

Thanks to Katy Perry and other bold beauty babes, crazy manis are all the rage right now. While over-the-top tips may be too much for the school hallway, they’re perfect for Halloween. We’re bringing you how-tos for three nail designs to match your costume this year.
The Costume: Any kind of animal, Jane (of Tarzan and Jane)

The Look: Animal print nails

What You Need:

Gold nail polish
White nail polish
Black nail art pen
Clear top coat
The How-To:
  1. Coat every nail with polish, alternating gold and white. Let dry, then top with a second coat. Allow nails to completely dry (20 minutes should do).

  2. Use the nail art pen to draw squiggly zebra strips on your white nails and leopard spots on your gold ones (Google pics for inspiration).

  3. Let dry, then cover with top coat.

Hint: If you’re short on time, check out nail stickers in animal prints for a quicker option.

The Costume: Pop star, celeb or anything glam

The Look: Rhinestone-studded nails

What You Need:

Light pink nail polish
Small rhinestones
Precision nail glue
Nail care stick (aka cuticle stick)
The How-To:
  1. Coat nails with pink polish, and let dry. Apply a second coat and allow to dry completely.

  2. Squeeze a dot of nail glue on one of the bottom corners of your thumbnail.

  3. Place a rhinestone on your nail and use the nail care stick to push it into place. Place down the rhinestone with the flat end of the stick to make it secure.

  4. Continue this process of applying rhinestones, working across and up your nail, until your thumbnail is completely covered.

  5. Repeat the whole process of applying rhinestones to your other nails, and voila!

Not dressing up this year, but still wanna get in the Halloween spirit? This Black ‘n’ Orange French Mani is just right for staying home and passing out candy.
