OMG! I hate my new haircut!

I just got my hair cut for the new school year, and it looks awful! The stylist didn’t listen to me at all – it’s too short and looks nothing like what I wanted. What can I do to fix it?

Here’s the good news: Hair grows back! Although it’ll take some time, you’ll eventually get back your old ‘do, good as new. But until then, here are some smart solutions for fixing a horrible hair cut.
Pile on the pins
Yikes – unflattering fringe got you down? Grab fun pins or hair barrettes and sweep it over the top of your head, like a half up do. Secure it with bright clips, and no one will even bat an eye.

Gel Belle
Super short cut? Make like Emma Watson, and show off how chic a boy cut can be. Use a little gel to give your short strands some texture – it’s magic!

Pure Clean Gel, $5, ulta.com

Curly Girl
You used to have straight hair – but now that it’s short, it’s gone all curly! Don’t freak, it’s totally normal. Without the weight of your long locks, your hair springs into its natural shape. Either grab a straight iron or enjoy your gorgeous curls – try a product made specifically for curly hair to get more control.

TIGI Bed Head Foxy Curls Contour Cream, $14, target.com

Most of all, be patient! It’s not permanent, and it’s definitely not the end of the world. Own your new ‘do with confidence, and no one will even notice – except to compliment you on your fierce new haircut. Good luck!
