How To: Get ready for school in under 10 mins
Between
finalizing your first-day outfit and scrambling to grab breakfast, who
has tonsa time to spend on primping? Luckily, we’re spilling some
styling secrets to get you prepped to catch the bus with plenty of time
to spare. Phew!
Skip the fussy eyeshadow. We love smoky eyes, but it's a tad overkill
for the classroom – not to mention incredibly time-consuming. Draw some
focus to your peepers without too much effort. A coat or two of mascara
and steady swipe of eyeliner will do the trick.
Insider's tip: For a touch of shimmer, dust a little white shadow on your brow bone and swipe a light, sheer shade on your lid.
Spray in some shampoo. Now, we're not saying to use dry shampoo on the
regs and never wash your hair (ick). But, every once in a while, it's
totally OK to spritz in some dry shampoo if you hit the snooze button a few
too many times.

Insider's tip: Let the spray sit in for two minutes, then brush out.
Cover up and zap zits. Ugh, blemishes are the last thing you want to
show off when you're scoping out the new classroom cuties. Hiding a
pesky pimple with pore-clogging makeup usually makes it worse.
Instead, snag a two-in-one acne-fighting concealer. What pimple?
Neutrogena Skin Clearing Blemish Concealer, $8, cvs.com
Insider's tip: Save time and skip your usual acne treatment if you're using a concealer with salicylic acid – it's already doing the work for you!
Multi-task. After towel drying, let your hair air dry as you do your
makeup and eat breakfast. Bust out the blow dryer for a bit if your
strands are still damp. Trust us, this will take up a lot less time than
starting off with totally drenched hair.
Insider's tip: Use a straightening gel or cream while your hair is damp to avoid using a hair-wrecking flat iron.
Loosen up. For curly hair chicas who wake up with that
kinda-curly-but-not-really frustration going on, try a texturizer. It
loosens your curls into a fab wave while de-frizzing your locks.

Insider's tip: Use a diffuser with scrunching gel for defined curls.
