GL's fave red-carpet trends

Last night, our fave celebs took to the red carpet for the Golden Globes. We totally fell for their gorge dresses, hot accessories and glam makeup. Here’s how to rock the best styles of the night—your way!

Grab an emerald frock
The carpet was red, but shades of clover and forest were turning heads last night. The color is spot-on for end-of-winter events and goes with all kindsa accessories (which means ya won’t have to buy new shoes to sport it).

Cinch your middle with a gold belt
Selena Gomez hit the after-party circuit in a show-stopping coral gown. She pulled the drape-y dress together with gilt belt at her middle. Utterly chic. Wrap one around your next party dress or even over a bright cardi.

Nail a silver mani
OK, most of the nails last night were super neutral (read: kinda boring). We spied a silver mani on 14-year-old newcomer Hallie Steinfeld and totally fell for it. Could it get any easier?
China Glaze Platinum Silver, $4, amazon.com

Go for oversized earrings
Big-night dresses demand certain gems. Last night’s gowns had loads of details and the best-dressed stars accessorized with awesome earrings or big cocktail rings instead of necklaces. The next time you get decked, pick a pair of glittery earrings to light up your face.

Channel spring-inspired lips
Lotsa glam girls wore almost-nude lips last night. We saw a couple cute pink puckers and coral pouts, though, and it made us anxious to break out the spring palettes.
