Easy ways to tame those curly locks

Wrangle those ringlets, girl. Here’s how to detangle and get rid of any tress stress (hint: it’s all about the right products and the right ‘dos). You’ll get those curls lookin’ smooth and shiny in no time.

Fend Off Frizz
Got outta control ringlets that are totally fuzzy? Spray a frizz-reducing product through damp hair, from roots to ends. Use your fingers to twirl curls and define them. Let locks air dry or blow them out with a diffuser. We heart John Frieda’s line, ‘cause it leaves hair feelin’ smooth instead of crunchy.
Style Tip: Part your defined spirals on the side to frame your face. Pin back a 1-inch wide section with an embellished bobby pin. Let curls hang naturally for a totally wild (but tamed) look.

Get Some Definition
If you’ve got curls that go limp quickly, it’s time to wake those pretties up. Work a curl lotion through damp hair before drying to set those spirals in place. Be sure to use a diffuser if you choose to blow-dry.
Style Tip: Try a low side pony, and let curls hang loose on one shoulder to keep hair out of your face and add sweetheart affect.

Sport an Easy Updo
There are some days when you just gotta get those strands outta your face. When hair is still damp, comb through tangles with a wide-tooth comb. Dry hair as you normally would. Then, use your comb to create a side part. Gather curls into a low side pony and secure with an elastic. Twist hair into a bun and keep it in place with a few bobby pins.
Style Tip: Pull a few curls loose around your face for a softer look. Use hairspray or curl defining gel to keep it all in place.
