Working here for my third consecutive summer has been awesome…the fun never stops!

Last Friday I went to my first photo shoot ever! I jumped at the chance to have a new experience. The night before going to the photo shoot, I couldn't fall asleep because I was so excited. Would it be like one of those photo shoots in the movies? I finally fell asleep knowing that tomorrow would be a fun day.

Two (human!) models had already arrived and were being prepped for hair, makeup, and clothing.  The pace of things picked up and we start shooting for the first model. It's SO cool to see someone change poses on command, and have the results look carefree and natural.  By this time, another dog, named Casey, had come to the set.  Kristen (another GL intern) and I decided to take the dogs for a little outing. We watched the other models get photographed, and played with the dogs.

The dogs didn’t get their spotlight until later in the afternoon, when they shot outside. While the models were out shooting, the other interns and I began to clean things up from the photo shoot. During this time, we got to know each other and the crew a lot better. All of the models did a fabulous job! The pics from the shoot look really good (look out for them in our upcoming October/November issue!).

I went home feeling very happy and lucky. Getting to see these things is a great opportunity! Doesn’t it sound great?!? And to think this is just one day in the awesome life of a GL intern...
