"Sunrise, Sunset" - An original poem
Hello, lovelies. Take a peek at this original poem written by GL reader Emily, 13, and tell us what you think in the comments.
Sunrise, Sunset
The sun comes over morrow’s name
Scented lilac breezes fill the air.
Morning dew on each little blade of grass.
I am free,
to enjoy the light
I am free,
from the darkness that holds me tight, for a little while.
I am free,
as the sun comes over morrow’s name
The moon comes over morrow’s name.
Bright shining stars fill the sky,
nights flowing winds whistling at trees branches.
I am free,
because I followed the stars.
I am free,
even though I walked so far.
I am free,
now the night has little power over me.
Because the sun comes over morrow’s name
So I will be here,
The sun comes over morrow’s name
Scented lilac breezes fill the air.
Morning dew on each little blade of grass.
I am free,
to enjoy the light
I am free,
from the darkness that holds me tight, for a little while.
I am free,
as the sun comes over morrow’s name
The moon comes over morrow’s name.
Bright shining stars fill the sky,
nights flowing winds whistling at trees branches.
I am free,
because I followed the stars.
I am free,
even though I walked so far.
I am free,
now the night has little power over me.
Because the sun comes over morrow’s name
So I will be here,
Waiting.
