This web series based on Pride and Prejudice is guaranteed to make your spirits soar

Bored out of your mind in quarantine? Luckily for you, we have the perfect cure. The Lizzie Bennet Diaries is everything you need right now.

The Lizzie Bennet Diaries is an Emmy winning YouTube based web series that retells Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice through modern day vlogs. Elizabeth Bennet, a stressed-out grad student played by the talented Ashley Clements, creates a video diary that spirals into something...unexpected. This show was created by Bernie Stu and Hank Green, a fool-proof formula for success.

The format of this show is perfect for your quarantine needs. It is free on YouTube and each episode is 5 to 10 minutes long. You can watch one or two before bed or binge 20 in an afternoon, it's up to you! (The latter was my preferred strategy.)

This show really has everything. It's hilarious and goofy as well as deeply touching. If you are pining for your best friends right now, you'll empathize with Lizzie as she misses Charlotte (Julia Cho). If your family is driving you nuts, you'll definitely recognize the antics of Lydia (played by Mary Kate Wiles). And if you're a sucker for a great love story, this show was made for you.

The Lizzie Bennet Diaries takes Pride and Prejudice and turns it into something hilarious, heartfelt and modern. Jane Austen's powerful characters and timeless story shines in this brilliant adaptation. You will laugh, you will cry and you will ship it hard.

Cure your quarantine blues with this fantastic show. In fact, why don't you start right now with episode 1?
