I’m 14 and I like this guy who is 17. He goes to my church, we text a lot and it feels like we’re the same age. He told me he liked me, but I don’t know what to do. I feel like I shouldn’t date him because he’s too old. What do you think?

When you’re in your 20s, three years is no big deal. But for now, three years is a lot. Can you tell this boy the truth: that you like him, but the age gap feels like too much? Time flies and someday you two might pick up where you left off. But I think you wrote me because you knew I’d say what I’m now saying, which is that you’re right to be apprehensive.
