Knee shaving secrets: Nix the nicks

I've been shaving for a while, now but whenever I try to shave my kneecap and right underneath it, I feel I'm cutting my skin. Afterward I always get these red bumps. Everywhere else is fine but right there I always have problems. Help?

Your knees are more sensitive than the rest of your body. This is common and there are many ways to prevent the itchy red bumps and cuts! Make sure you shave downward with warm water, going in the direction that the hair grows. Otherwise you could be catching the skin on your knee.

I’ve found that the key to getting a perfect shave over trouble spots like around your knees is to try out different angles. Stretching your leg out in front of you might help ya get one patch while twisting around to do the back of your knee might help ya shave another patch. Take your time, use lots of shaving gel and a fresh razor, and you should be just fine.

Good luck!
