Ingrown hair horror
A few days after I shave my legs, I get red bumps filled
with pus. My mom says they are ingrown hairs. How do I get rid of them or
prevent them?
Ingrown hairs are a common condition, especially in people
with curly hair. They can happen to anyone though, both boys and girls, and
they can happen anywhere. So take a deep breath and know that your ingrowns are
100-percent normal and can be taken care of easily.
Some ways to prevent ingrown hairs and those nasty infections include using an electric razor instead of a manual one, exfoliating your legs before shaving them and shaving using down strokes instead of upstrokes.
Already got ‘em? The treatment of ingrown hairs is easy.
Step up your exfoliation with a washcloth, loofa or an exfoliating body wash.
Look for products with salicylic acid in them. If the problem worsens, consult
your physician for some additional help.
