The sugar-free French toast recipe you need to try
Having a slumber party and want something yummy to offer your guests? This French-tastic recipe is something all your friends will go crazy over. It's everything we love about an original Fresh toast recipe—but with a healthy twist that’ll leave you feeling satisfied and completely guilt free. Check out the step-by-step below.
Ingredients:
Serves 4
- 2 cups almond milk
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 1 tsp nutmeg
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups kefir
- 4 sprouted whole-grain English muffins, halved
- 2 bananas, sliced
- 4 Tbsp shredded coconut
- 8 tsp maple syrup
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350F.
2, Lightly coat a baking pan with cooking spray and set aside.
3. Whisk almond milk, sea salt, nutmeg, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and kefir together in a bowl.
4. Soak English muffin halves in this mixture for 1-2 minutes.
5.. Place muffins onto the baking pan, laying a few sliced bananas onto each English muffin. Bake for 30-35 minutes.
6.. Remove the baked toast from the pan, serve with shredded coconut and maple syrup.
