Tastier winter sips without boosting fat and calories? You bet!
We have a confession to make: When it comes to winter sips, we’re all about the seasonal flavors and rich flavor. Bring on the peppermint mochas and hot chocolate—and none of this water and a packet of sugary instant cocoa stuff, either. We’re talking milky, chocolate-y goodness. To borrow a word from Rachael Ray, yum-o.
Naturally, when we heard we could make our favorite cuppa even tastier—without adding a dollop of whipped cream or another scoop of chocolate shavings—we jumped at the chance. And all we had to do was switch up our cup o choice. Who knew?
Researchers are now reporting that hot chocolate tastes better when serves in cream- or orange-colored cups. People who participated in the study were given the same hot chocolate in four cups of different colors: white, cream, red and orange. And they said that the drink served in the cream and orange cups tasted and smelled wayyy better. That’s good enough for us!
