Eat Right
Do potatoes make you pack on the pounds?
Sorry, spuds. Whether they’re fried, mashed, sliced or turned into salad, turns out potatoes are a major cause of weight gain. According to the New England Journal of Medicine eating these satanic starches have consumers gaining close to one pound per year, which they say after 20 years equaled about 16 pounds of fat. Ick!
Though spuds have nutrients, like vitamins, it looks like we’re gonna be eating other veggies to grab those benefits. Not surprisingly, soda and other junk foods were also listed as major health offenders.
What do you think girlies? Will you be steering clear of the spuds or will you continue to dine on these classic munchies? Blog about it!
