Eat Right
Your best grocery store snack buys
Fruits and veggies are the best options when it comes to snacks, but sometimes a girl just craves something a li’l less angelic. But that doesn’t mean you have to make a beeline for the ice cream stand. Here are a few snacks that aren’t so bad for ya!
Gimme a chip!
The most infamous summer snack is by far potato chips. While they may be delicious, it’s hard to figure out the portion sizing along with that fact that just one bag is packed with a lot of calories and grams of fat. Instead, try baked potato chips that are lightly salted. Grabbing a party bag of these for the beach allows you to snack without feeling guilty. Because they aren’t deep fried in oil, baked is the way to go with many less calories and harm but that still maintains a rich flavor. Ya still don’t want to eat ‘em daily, but the occasional crunch is A-OK.

String in the Season
A great way to get a dairy fix during the summer is by snacking on string cheese. It may be an essential in your lunchbox during the school year but string cheese is also a much better alternative than other cheese products. And an added bonus – they’re fun to eat!

Mix n’ Match
Although having a bowl of cereal for breakfast may be your favorite choice, there are plenty of other ways to feed your carb craving without piling on the sugar. As an alternative, try a sweet granola bar with dried fruit and nuts as a way to get a boost of energy at the start of your day.

Pickle Please?
Wanna snack like Selena Gomez? Well guess what? It’s easier than you think! Selena doesn’t need a fancy cooked snack to satisfy her cravings. Instead, she loves to grab a pickle! Not only are pickles delicious, but they are also high in fiber which helps to prevent cancer and improve low blood pressure. Sounds like a double win to me.
