It was Thanksgiving Day and my whole family was there. I had to use the bathroom and I found out I started my period. I remember thinking, "Why me? Why me?" My mom didn't use pads and I was NOT going to use a tampon, so I used tissue instead. During dinner I ended up going to the bathroom, like 5 or 6 times! It was so weird! My mom asked what was going on and when I told her she yelled out, "What?! You just started your period?!" loud enough for my whole family to hear! And to top it all off, there were no pads in the house, and all the stores where closed. So my mom and aunt tried to tell me how to use a tampon, and when I couldn't do it myself, my aunt had to put it in for me.
