It was my 13^th birthday and I was so excited. My parents and I had planned just to have a family celebration, but little did I know that they had something totally different in mind. It turns out they had called all my friends (including my crush) and had them come over to my house for a surprise party. That night, when I got home from soccer practice, I took a shower as usual. Being stupid, I forgot a towel, so I had to walk across the hall to my room naked. As I was about half way there I heard gasps, laughs, and “oh my goshes.” Everyone was staring at me! I was mortified! I still haven’t found the courage to talk to my crush! --Emily
