Get in the Olympic spirit with this tasty drink

 

The 2016 Olympics are currently going on in the beautiful city of Rio de Janeiro, a city overflowing with arts, culture and food. A summer staple in Rio is "Brazilian lemonade." It's very different from the lemonade you know and love, and is even more delicious. Interested? Here's how to make it:

What you'll need:


  • 2 large, thin-skinned limes
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 cup ice
  • 1/2 cup suagr
  • 3 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk

  • Directions:


    1. Wash the limes thoroughly. Cut off the ends and slice into eight wedges.

    2. Places limes in a blender with the sugar, condensed milk, water, and ice.

    3. Blend in an electtric blender, pulsing 5 times or until it has reached the desired consistency.

    4. Strain through a fine mesh strainer to remove the rinds.

    5. Serve over ice and enjoy!
