GL FOOD: Heartbreakin’ Cereal Treats


Show your lovebugs how much you care with super cute and crunchy cereal treats. You don’t have to preheat anything, they take minutes to make, not to mention the fact that they are fabuloso. Wrap them up with some razzy-jazzy ribbon and voila…heart-shaped gifts from the heart.


¼ c. butter
1 bag of marshmallows
6 cups of unflavored cereal – Think Cheerios, Rice Krispies, Corn Flakes etc.
2 cups of dried cherries and strawberries. - These can be found in most grocery or specialty stores.
Red food coloring


• In a large saucepan, melt the butter on low heat. Slowly add the bag of marshmallows and stir until melted down all the way through. Remove from heat
• Add one or two drops of red food coloring to give the marshmallow a pinky color
• Stir in the cereal and the dried fruit. Make sure it is evenly coated with marshmallow
• While the mix is still warm, mold small handfuls into heart shapes and place on waxed paper
• Let cool before eating
