6 new ways to spice up your coffee

We all love Starbucks, but who can afford to hit it up every day? Home-brewed coffee is a cheap, fresh alternative...and though we can't advocate drinking it every day, these six swaps will seriously tempt you. Check it out...

1. Up the health benefits.

Craving a vanilla latte? Try switching out your creamer for vanilla almond milk. Lower in fat, super sweet AND a source of protein? Count us in.

2. Spice things up.

If you love sugar but hate the crash, try sweetening your coffee with spices like cinnamon or nutmeg. It takes amazing and can boost your metabolism. Win-win.

3. Get frothy.

Add a spoonful of plain greek yogurt to your coffee to give it a frothy, creamy consistency. It's practically a one-step cappuccino.

4. Go coco crazy.

Warm up a teaspoon of coconut oil and pour it into your coffee! Sounds crazy, we know, but the oil is a major metabolism booster and will take you on a sip-trip to the tropics.

5. Scream for ice cream.

Two words: coffee float.

6. Make your own mocha.

If you need the caffeine, but hate the taste of coffee, mix a packet of hot chocolate into your brew for a yummy instant mocha.

How do you switch up your morning coffee? Do you live for java or hate the taste? Let us know below!
