Easy DIY: Cardi makeover madness

Everyone’s got an old cardi that can use a cute update. Make over your tried and true topper into a unique, stylish sweater with just a few simple materials and a creative mind. Call up your crew, turn up the tunes and let the cardi makeover madness begin!

 

Flower power

 

 

Score this sweet sweater look with felt and beads. Cut the felt into flower petal shapes. Sew each petal onto your cardigan and string on beads for a shiny center. Contrasting colors make it cool.

 

Feathered frenzy

 

 

Stock up on flower appliqués from the craft store and in the same shade as your cardi. Sew on a bunch in an abstract pattern, even going down the shoulders and sleeves. Stitch on a few sequins for a hint of sparkle.

 

Glitzy gathering
 

 

Serious gemstones are totally in. Why not apply them to your boring crewneck? Pick up a pack of rhinestones at your nearest craft store, and apply them in a gradient pattern to your top with fabric glue.
