Bundle up in style with DIY gloves

Want to revamp your old gloves for less than $5? Guest blogger Tatiana Fogt of Fashion Forward gives ya the how-to below.
It’s hard to look cute and show off your personal style when bundling up to go outside during winter. Gloves are definitely a must, and lucky for you, we’ve got a DIY guide that will bring yours from blah to bling in a few easy steps. There are three styles to choose from, so make a DIY date with your besties and give some love to your gloves!

Style 1: Edgy
You will need:

Plain gloves

Silver and gold chains and studs/brads

Needle and thread that matches the gloves

1. Start by pushing the brads one by one through the base of the glove (lining them up so they start to look like a bracelet), and make sure to leave space on the bottom for the dangling chains.

2. Sew each end of the chains to the bottom of the glove, allowing the middle of the chain to dangle. Experiment with different colors and chain sizes to make your gloves even more unique!

Style 2: Vintage

You will need:

Plain gloves

Two matching charms or buttons

Ribbon

Matches

Needle and thread that matches the ribbon

1. Using the ribbon, tie two bows and cut off from the roll so that the ends are even.

2. To keep the edges of the ribbon from fraying, have an adult lightly bring a lit match over the edges (you don’t have to follow this step, but it will make your bows look better).

3. After that, secure the bow to the base of the glove by sewing the middle knot to the glove. Finally, sew the charms to the top of the bow knot for a chic pair of vintage-inspired gloves.

Style 3: Girly

You will need:

Plain gloves

Rhinestone brads/Studs

Crochet flowers (from a craft store)

Needle and thread that matches the gloves

1. Place the flowers where you would like them to be on the gloves and secure by pushing a brad through the center. Layer them as necessary.

2. Push rhinestone brads through the center of the flowers to secure them to the gloves. If the flowers are still loose, use the needle and thread to sew them onto the gloves, and you’re done! Rock these gloves to remind yourself that spring is just around the corner.
