Fab Up Your Life: Just Add Color

November can be a bit dreary. The days are short, the leaves have fallen and the cheery holidays haven’t kicked off. Fend off the blues by adding crazy amounts of color and instant sunshine to your world. Here’s how…
 
Grab Red-Hot Gloves
When did it get so chilly? Fingerless gloves mean you can text like mad, but still stay warm. A lacy knit pair feels ladylike and gives your outwear a burst of rosy red.
 
Tie-Dye Your Nails
OK, not really. But Technicolor tips ruled the spring runway at fancy fashion shows, like Zac Posen. Go DIY on your mani by nabbing some fake nails from the drugstore. Before you apply them, paint them with wild-child polish in interesting patterns (let each layer dry, so you don’t wind up with an icky mess). When ya need to brighten your day, pop on the art-school falsies (follow the directions on the package) and fly.
 
Save the Pumpkins!
Orange is uplifting, so don’t toss those pumpkins out just yet. Instead, keep one by your desk to make homework time less of a drag. If all the gourds in your house are carved, let them stay outside and nab a couple of flowers at the grocery store and plop them in a vase in your room. It’ll cost a couple of bucks and is an instant mood improver. 
 
Snag a Punchy Purse
Sure, black and brown bags are practical but dark hues can get boring. Swap your everyday haul-all for a palette that pops. We’re excited for this bag by Lanvin hearts H&M (out Nov. 23). Or, take a cue from the fashion genius and add awesome bows and ribbons to a plain bag you already own.
 
Wrangle Some Raspberries
Playing around with color on your plate is an easy way to eat healthy (which, yes, improves your mood and ups your energy). Today we chatted with Body Drama author Nancy Redd (she has a new book coming out soon!). She mentioned how teeny, tiny raspberries pack a major dose of fiber. Plus, they add a bit of brightness to your yogurt, whole-wheat waffles, salads and more. Berry sweet.
