Lifestyle: Travel Essentials

I'm going on vacay in a month, and I want to be prepared. What are some essentials I should carry in my purse while down there?

Way to plan ahead, chica. Packing the perf vacay purse is all about mixing fashion and function. Think about your destination—what ya need for a day at the beach is gonna be diff than if you’re scouting a museum.

Don’t stuff your bag with too much…it’s annoying to lug tons around. We’ve got some adorable inspiration for ya. Scope it out, make a list and get packing!

Cross-body bags are perf for getaways. They keep ya hands-free, so you can take snaps or eat a slushy. Swap it for a tote if you’re by the shore.

Blotting papers keep the sweat off your pretty face, whether you're waiting in line for 'coasters or strolling the boardwalk. Instant matte-ification.

Sunscreen is a must, but lugging a major bottle around if you're sight-seeing can hold ya back. A teeny stick o' SPF is ideal for touchups, but slather on tons of the real stuff before you step out.

Keep a camera, tiny notebook and pen handy so you can jot down (and get visual evidence of!) all your adventures. We like these hippie-dippy dyed journals, but plain ones will do, too.

You should also have some hair elastics, a water bottle and emergency phone numbers in your bag. Don’t forget sunglasses, a fab wallet and some spending money.
