Flower power! How to make a daisy chain

Sitting outside with nothing to do? Pft, now’s not the time to sit around bored! One of our favorite spring activities—aside from attempting to whistle using grass—is making endless daisy chains. Wear them as crowns, make anklets, give bracelets to your buds. The flowers are the limit.

What you’ll need:

A pile of daisies with long stems

What you’ll do:

Got your daisies? Good. Pick one up and use your thumbnail to split the stalk about halfway down. Don’t split it all the way—you want to create a buttonhole. Thread the stalk of another daisy through the slit, then pull it so the head of the daisy abuts the other stalk. Split the fresh stalk, then thread another daisy through that slit. Repeat until you have a chain as long as you like.
