Winter wonderland date ideas

Brrr…it’s getting chilly out!  With temperatures dropping and people staying in, it’s getting harder and harder to go out and have fun.  What are you supposed to do on your date with that gorgeous soccer captain when all you want to do is curl up under your covers and watch a good chick flick?

It’s time to pull out that thinking cap and get creative, chickie. We’ve got just a few ideas to get you started on your wintertime romance.
You’re a Star!

Put a cold-weather twist on stargazing with your sweetie. Different seasons mean different constellations, so grab a map of the skies, two mugs of hot chocolate (extra marshmallows, please!) and your fave warm blankets. Huddle up and see if you can spot the winter stars together. Who knows, you might even get the chance to make a wish on a shooting star. With an idea this one-of-a-kind, your date is sure to be stellar.
Cookie-cutter Cuties

Trade in those store-bought snacks for some homemade treats. Invite your crush to help you out with that recipe you’ve just been dying to try. Cooking and baking together can be fun, not to mention delicious. Plus, it’ll give you two plenty of time to catch up while you work together on this tasty project. With the holidays quickly approaching, show off your artistic skills by decorating cookies or making gingerbread houses.  It’ll be a colorful date, to say the least! Psst! Summer Lovin’

Summertime picnics are a classic date that’s sweet and so movie-esque. But who’s brave enough (or, ahem, crazy enough!) to sit outside in this freezing weather? So bring that red-and-white checkered blanket inside for a change. Lay it out on the floor and serve up some yummy wintertime treats like hot chocolate, fresh cookies or piping hot chicken noodle soup. Yum!

Roasty Toasty

Channel your inner camper and cozy-up by the fire with your cutie. Swap campfire stories, talk about funny things that have happened to you, or just chat about anything that comes to mind. Add graham crackers, marshmallows, and chocolate for an instant date that’s sure to be sweet.  Can you say, “s’more dates”?
