My Ex is Sending Mixed Signals

I’m having trouble getting over my ex. I see him all the time at school, and sometimes he’s rude to me, other times he’s flirty. I can’t escape him and don’t know what to do.

 

HIS ANSWER: “There are so many ways to interpret his behavior. Looking back at your relationship, you have to define ‘flirting.’ I always thought I was just friendly, but a girl I was dating thought of it as flirty...Hmm, lines blur I guess. There's more to this.”

 

DECODED: Sometimes guys can send flirty signals unintentionally: They’re just trying to be friends but a girl may take it the wrong way. It sounds like this guy in particular isn’t sure what he wants though...and his actions show it.

 

YOUR MOVE: Have a heart-to-heart with your ex and ask him what’s really going on. If he continues his hot-and-cold act on you, tell him you’re giving him some space so he can figure his feelings out. It’s important this guy gets through this without you being his emotional punching bag. When he’s ready, let him know you’d love to be friends, but until then, you both need space and to hang with other people.
