You Wrote It
A GL girl's original poem: "Just That"
Color is just that,
not an enemy
to be targeted by a hate
wielded like a
double-edged sword
of mass destruction.
It is diverse
and vivid
and brilliant.
LGBTQ is just that,
not a sin to be ridiculed
or demeaned,
as if it is within control
or causes inferiority.
It is amazing
and beautiful
and varied.
Religion is just that,
not a classification to be brandished,
thrown like fire
to cause wars and violence
in the name of belief.
It is hopeful
and phenomenal
and freeing.
