Must List

4 must-watch TV shows you didn't know are turning 20 this year

While we love starting a brand new TV show when it premieres, there's just something special about discovering a great series from years past. And this year marks an extra-exciting milestone for *so* many pop culture classics: They're turning 20! Whether you're more into iconic teen dramas, laugh-out-loud funny sitcoms or entertaining reality TV shows, we have your next weekend binge right here. Read on for our roundup of all the must-watches that are celebrating their 20th anniversary in 2023.

The Bachelorette

Premiere date: January 8, 2003
Where to watch: ABC (when new seasons air) or Hulu

Everything's coming up roses for the quintessential reality dating show—it's still on the air with its newest season set to release later this year. Viewers join the Bachelorette on her romantic journey as she visits breathtaking destinations, goes on exciting dates and navigates nail-biting drama along the way. The Bachelorette matches its predecessor The Bachelor in ratings, roses and relationships that will either last forever or end in the classic joint Instagram breakup announcement. Still, four leading ladies are married to their final pick today, so maybe this show *can* make you believe in true love after all! Or, it can entertain you and your besties for a couple of hours every week...which is even better, tbh.

That's So Raven

Premiere date: January 17, 2003
Where to watch: Disney+

Ever wished you could see into the future? This classic Disney Channel series centers around that exact idea. Raven Baxter is a normal teen who dreams of becoming a fashion designer, but she also has a *huge* secret that only her fam and friends know: she's psychic. Raven's powers allow her to see snippets of future events, leaving her to figure out how to stop her visions from coming true (and causing tons of hilarious misunderstandings in the process). The show was so popular that it inspired not one but two spin-offs, Cory in the House, which focuses on Raven's younger brother, and Raven's Home, which just got renewed for its sixth season and follows Raven and her childhood BFF Chelsea as they raise their kids. You'll def want to catch up on all their adventures!

The O.C.

Premiere date: August 5, 2003
Where to watch: Hulu, HBO Max or Amazon Prime Video

Before the creators of Gossip Girl took a trip to the Upper East Side, they started out on the West Coast, bringing us The O.C., a criminally underrated teen drama. After Ryan Atwood is taken in by the close-knit Cohen family, he's swept up in the glamorous society of Newport Beach, California. Not only will you become *so* invested in Ryan's journey to overcome his past and create his future, you'll also love his Orange County crew, made up of characters like Ryan's witty adoptive brother Seth, mysterious girl-next-door Marissa, lovable queen bee Summer and ambitious overachiever Taylor. The show's complex family dynamics, total friendship goals and swoon-worthy romances will have you hooked from start to finish.

One Tree Hill

Premiere date: September 23, 2003
Where to watch: Hulu, HBO Max or Amazon Prime Video

Love the idyllic beach town location and iconic love triangles of The Summer I Turned Pretty? Then we *need* to put you onto One Tree Hill. Meet half-brothers Lucas and Nathan Scott, who compete for spots on their school's basketball team as they eventually go from rivals to friends. We love One Tree Hill for its heartfelt relationships, memorable musical moments and well-developed characters that break free from the stereotypical boxes they're placed in at the beginning of the show. Strong female characters like Peyton Sawyer, Brooke Davis and Haley James Scott are still inspiring and empowering viewers today. Plus, the fab stars who play them can even accompany you on your viewing journey with their Drama Queens podcast where they recap the show together and share everything from fave filming memories to behind-the-scenes gossip. Let your latest TV obsession begin!
