4 amazing teen movies to get you in a winter mood
Ready or not, winter is here! That means it's time for shorter days, colder nights and (hopefully) lots of snow. If all this sounds less than exciting to you, we get it. But winter can be magical, too! Don't believe us? Watch these four wintry teen movies and you might just change your mind.
1. Ice Princess (2005)
Follow teenager Casey as she turns her passion for science into an Olympic dream. While working on a physics project, she realizes her skill on the ice and contemplates what's more important—her academics or her future in figure skating.
2. Cloud 9 (2014)
Starring Dove Cameron, Cloud 9 centers around Kayla Morgan, a competitive snowboarder. After being kicked off her team following an accident involving a sled crash, Kayla teams up with former competitor Will to prove that she has the dedication and skills to be successful on her own. Together, they team up to master a new move: the Cloud 9.
3. Let It Snow (2019)
This movie follows a group of teenagers as their small town is hit by a snowstorm on Christmas Eve. Featuring sledding, holiday plays and an epic Christmas party, this feel-good film shows all the best parts of winter.
4. Go Figure (2005)
In this movie, a 14-year-old aspiring professional figure skater accepts a scholarship at an elite school to be mentored by a famous figure skating coach. The only problem? The scholarship is for ice hockey—not figure skating. Follow along as Katelin learns to balance both sports, as well as pressure from her teammates and family.
