Ready to have a super inspiring weekend?!

Today, Amazon premiered their original special, An American Girl Story: Summer Camp Friends for Life, a super amazing celebration of friendship, brains and all things S.T.E.A.M. So, what's S.T.E.A.M.? The acronym stands for science, technology, engineering, art and math, and essentially celebrates all things science and tech! Besties Z (Zoe Manarel) and Paz (Alison Fernandez) attend a summer S.T.E.A.M. camp where they meet Drew (Lauren Donzis).

Wanna know more about all the fun—and mystery!—this trio gets up to at camp and all the amazing reasons you should watch? Read on!

1. You'll get all the #friendshipfeels
When Z and Paz meet Drew, the three girls quickly realize how much they have in common. "They have to solve a mystery together using all the clues they get and all their passion for S.T.E.A.M.," Lauren explains. "When they work together, everything is easier and closer to being solved because they each bring something to the table."

2. You'll meet some *mega* empowering chicks
Between Z, Paz, Drew and camp counselor Jordan, this flick is chock-full of awesome ladies. "Girls do rule the world," Zoe says. "We need girls in all S.T.E.A.M, too, because we are *just* as smart as anyone else." We concur!

3. You'll get sucked in by the mysterious camp counselor, Jordan
Z and Paz *think* they meet an amazing and inspiring counselor named Jordan, but turns out that she, uh, doesn't really exist! "Jordan is kind of that counselor that’s cool and hipster, and just amazes us with how smart she is!" Alison gushed. "She sent us on an adventure and showed us a world where all the things were possible with S.T.E.A.M." 

4. You'll love the teamwork
The girls must use their S.T.E.A.M. know-how to figure out exactly *what* is going on with Jordan. It's not an easy task, but with a little togetherness and smarts, they can *totally figure it out.

5. You'll learn all about S.T.E.A.M.
You might not be a coding expert or an artist by the end of it, but you'll definitely be intrigued by all the amazing things you can do when you study S.T.E.A.M. Zoe, for example, loves math. "I love how it’s just this one big puzzle and how everything adds up to one thing," she says. "It’s like an entire mystery itself!"

6. Even though it's tech-based, it's *actually* device-free
That's right, the campers weren't allowed to use their phone/tablets/etc. in the movie! What would happen if the girls had to ditch devices IRL? "Musical.ly is so fun for me, and I like text too. Oh my gosh, I don't know which one I would be more sad to part with... iMessage, Instagram, Snapchat, and Facebook—it's too difficult!" Lauren says.

7. You'll be inspired to get outdoors
Even if you're not going to summer camp, the special will remind you of the importance of the great outdoors. If you're so inclined, do a social detox for the day and stay away from screens altogether. You'll be amazed by how refreshed you feel afterward!
