To say the least: 2016 has been cray-cray.
Zayn Malik released a slew of bops with his first solo record. We lost many influential entertainers. Donald Trump was elected president of the United States. Girls' Life even got an entirely new look. OK—so some of these events are more monumental than others. Even still, each have had an impact on our lives in one way or another.
Now, it's time to put the past in the past and end the year with a bang. Whether you're staying in with your fam or friends or heading out to a fun fete, tune into one of these countdown specials to close out the year with.
Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve on ABC is *always* the one to watch. If you're an early-to-bed kinda gal, you can tune into the primetime special hosted by Ryan Seacrest from 8:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. More of a night owl? Stay tuned from 11:30 p.m. to 2:13 a.m. to catch Shawn Mendes, John Legend, DNCE and Fifth Harmony perform and watch the ball drop.
If you're into the LOLs, turn to former Saturday Night Live comedian's Late Night with Seth Meyers New Year's Eve Special on NBC for funny from Jennifer Lawrence, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Kelly Clarkson and Leslie Jones from 10 to 11 p.m. Also on NBC, watch New Year's Eve with Carson Daly from 11:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. for what are sure to be amazing performances by Pentatonix, Alicia Keys and Blake Shelton.
