Must List

The 5 2016 flicks you need to watch with your fam this break

From clever pups to serious superheros, it's clear that this year in movies we've been loving everything animated and action-packed. Some movies took us to London, in others we went under the sea and once we even went to the moon! But if you managed to miss any of these inspiring adventures, and want to spend some QT with your family this holiday season, pick up these titles—some of the biggest movies of the year—and kick back on the couch with your loved ones. Don't forget the popcorn!

The Secret Life of Pets

Fact: there's nothing cuter than tiny animals. *Especially* when they talk! The Secret Life of Pets gave us a look into the cray-cray lives of a motley crew of pets and, now that it's out on DVD, you gotta grab it and watch. Perfect to tune into with your pup-obsessed sister or your dad who (for some reason) is super into bird watching.

Finding Dory

We waited and waited and waited for this follow up to 2003's Finding Nemo. When it finally arrived this summer, we cried happy tears. Then we watched it and we cried actual sad tears (seriously, you *will* weep during this movie, so don't go heavy on the mascara). Grab it for your older sister who loved Nemo for some sisterly bonding.

Captain America: Civil War

Our favorite Marvel men and women returned to the big screen this spring with more action than ever before. The crazy-talented cast proved that, once again, nothing beats a superhero movie—especially when the lines of good versus evil are so blurred. This is an amazing film to watch with your comic-obsessed sib.

The BFG

Our favorite book turned into a movie this year in the form of a BFG—a big friendly giant, that is. The beloved tale by Roald Dahl takes us to London where Sophie meets the mega-sized man with a mega-sized heart, who bonds with the orphan girl. Together they deliver dreams to the sleepless children and both find their happily ever afters. Press play with your *entire* fam—there's something for everyone to love in this one!

Hidden Figures

Winter break wouldn't be complete without an actual trip to the movies. This flick, in theaters on Christmas, tells the tale of three hugely-inspiring women in the 1950s who worked at NASA, one of which calculated the trajectory of the Apollo 11 flight and coordinates for landing. Talk about amazing! Go see it with *all* your female family members for a major girl power moment.

What's your favorite movie to watch with your family? Will you watch any of these over break? Sound off in the comments!
