Press play: Our 5 fave albums of 2016

Calling all music fans! 2016 was a perfect year when it comes to music, don't you agree? Our fave artists filled the charts—and our hearts—with their new albums and our ears thank them. Here are our five albums that we can’t stop listening to. It's crazy to think that all of these were gifted to us this year! Trust us: picking only five was *super* hard to do.

Dangerous Woman by Ariana Grande
Ari’s latest album is a pop masterpiece and we’re *so* here for it. “Be Alright,” “Into You” and “Let Me Love You” have been stuck in our heads all year and “Side to Side” with Nicki Minaj will be our jam even into the new year. If the album is this good, just think of what Ariana has planned for her Dangerous Woman Tour!

Sit Still, Look Pretty by Daya
After making us *major* fans with “Hide Away” and “Don’t Let Me Down,” her collab with The Chainsmokers, our girl Daya dropped her incredible debut album earlier this fall. She preaches the truth on songs about self-confidence and thirsty guys, all while making us groove to catchy pop and electronic beats.

Mind of Mine by Zayn
We were devastated when Zayn announced he was leaving One Direction, but his awesome debut album makes us love him even more. Since the release of his first single “Pillowtalk,” Zayn has shown off his individual pop-R&B sound and proven he is here to stay.

7/27 by Fifth Harmony
Fifth Harmony had a great 2016 with the release of their sophomore album 7/27, hit singles “Work from Home,” “All in My Head (Flex)” and “That’s My Girl,” and a massive tour. The fab girl group basically dominated the scene this year and we couldn’t be more proud. Sadly Camila Cabello recently chose to leave the group, but we know that they will continue to see much success even without the singer.

Illuminate by Shawn Mendes
Shawn is our fave Canadian cutie and his sophomore album, which came out this fall, is everything. The lead single “Treat You Better” has the pop-driven sound we’ve come to expect from the “Stitches” singer, but the rest of the album, including fan faves “Mercy” and “Roses,” is more laidback and soulful, giving us the perfect fall-into-winter chill vibes.
