Everyone's going to The Eras Tour with Taylor Swift's new concert film
OK, so maybe you weren't one of the lucky Swifties who scored tickets to The Eras Tour this summer (let's just say we know that feeling all too well...). But fear not, because Taylor's got us covered with her all-new concert film—Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour—dropping in North American theaters on Oct. 13.
Just this morning, the queen herself shared an announcement of the upcoming movie release. (Unsurprising that it's slated to come out on Friday the 13th, since nothing is ever a coincidence with Taylor!)
The Eras Tour has been the most meaningful, electric experience of my life so far and I’m overjoyed to tell you that it’ll be coming to the big screen soon 😆 Starting Oct 13th you’ll be able to experience the concert film in theaters in North America! To say we're pumped to hit the theaters this fall would be a maaajor understatement. From the songs we know and love, to the iconic fan chants, to, ofc, the unforgettable fits, it's clear from the official trailer that Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour is going to showcase all our fave memories from this summer's tour on the big screen.
It's rumored that the film's runtime is around 2 hours and 45 minutes and that no songs from the setlist have been cut (but costume and set changes have been left out to condense the length of the movie). Allegedly, Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour will include a few "secret songs" as well. Given that the majority of the filming took place during Tay's L.A. shows, fans are predicting anything from "Maroon" to "Death by a Thousand Cuts".
Tickets are already on sale, with options to experience The Eras Tour in Dolby Cinema, IMAX and more theaters all across the country. The great news? There will be plenty of showings for you to watch (and rewatch) the concert-to-end-all-concerts. AMC Theaters reportedly promised that the movie would play at every one of its U.S. locations at least four times a day on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Talk about dedication!
So if you never had a chance to rock your Eras Tour fit or exchange friendship bracelets with fellow fans (or even if you did, let's be real...): We'll see you in the theater, bby!
